The Butterfly Loom

If you have always wanted to create a beautiful blanket with yarn, but have never learned to crochet or knit, the Butterfly Loom might be of interest to you.  The only skill you need to posses is the ability to tie a knot.

Check out some of the beautiful blankets I have made using the medium loom and the large loom:

These really are simple to make, but they are time-consuming.  It takes roughly two hours to complete one large square (about 15 minutes for a medium-square).  But the results are gorgeous!

These blankets have turned out great! I've just started using a butterfly loom and was trying to get ideas on how to join the pieces together; I love how you have done it. I also like the look of thin yarn but with lots of it, I think the fray's are great. I have a lot more ideas now, so thank you.

Thank you, Jessica. I wish it didn't take so much time to make the large blankets, because they would be great to sell. But the baby blankets come together really fast. I'm happy to have inspired you in some small way.
